Job SummaryAs the Charge Pharmacist, you will oversee daily operations of the outpatient retail pharmacy at the Flat Shoals Clinic, ensuring services are delivered safely, efficiently, and in compliance with all laws, regulations, and Grady Health System policies. This role requires a hands‑on pharmacy leader who can supervise pharmacy technicians, support regulatory compliance, and drive operational excellence.
You’ll serve as the primary liaison between pharmacy staff, patients, providers, and leadership to ensure outstanding pharmacy services in a busy outpatient clinic setting.
ResponsibilitiesSupervise all aspects of outpatient pharmacy operations, including workflow, staffing, and medication dispensing
Ensure compliance with state and federal pharmacy laws, regulatory standards, and Grady Health System policies
Provide guidance and support to pharmacy technicians and cashiers, ensuring high performance and excellent patient service
Maintain inventory control and medication storage standards
Review and report workload, productivity, and budget metrics to pharmacy leadership
Address compliance concerns, customer feedback, and non‑standard service requests professionally
Stay current on applicable pharmacy regulations and ensure team awareness
Collaborate with clinic leadership and providers to enhance retail pharmacy services and patient experience
Support quality improvement initiatives and new workflow implementation
Serve as a working pharmacist as needed, verifying prescriptions and counseling patients
Perform other duties as assigned
Fully licensed Pharmacist in the State of Georgia, or eligibility to obtain licensure within 90 days by reciprocity or exam
Minimum 3 years of pharmacy practice experience in a clinical, retail, or outpatient pharmacy setting
Strong understanding of pharmacy operations, including business and compliance functions
Ability to communicate effectively across teams and lead pharmacy staff
Prior experience in a charge pharmacist or supervisory role strongly preferred
Demonstrated ability to lead in a fast‑paced, patient‑focused environment
