Job SummaryThe Resource Associate assists care management staff with activities related to care coordination, discharge planning, and transition of care. Collects data, maintains statistical files, and assist in development of reports specific to care coordination division.
Qualifications- High School graduate or GED. A minimum of two (2) years of college preferred.
- Will substitute two (2 )years of experience in patient access, billing, insurance, care coordination, transition of care, or directly related experience in a health care environment in lieu of college education.
- Must posess excellent customer service, interpersonal skills, and the ability to maintain composure in difficult situations.
- Requires the abilitity to be proofread for accuracy, and articulate in both oral and written communications.
- CPAR Certification preferred.
- Accurately types 30 - 35 WPM with knowledge of medical terminology strongly preferred.
- Knowledge of basic computer software (ie Microsoft office: Word,Excel, and PowerPoint).
- Demonstrates proficiency in health care systems (ie Allscripts, EPIC), use of electronic databases.
