Overview
A small, growing private practice is seeking a Collaborating Psychiatrist to support a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) in meeting state and DEA licensing requirements. This remote, part-time role is ideal for a Georgia-licensed psychiatrist who is passionate about mentorship, compliance, and quality psychiatric care.
Key ResponsibilitiesProvide oversight and collaborate on prescribing controlled substances.
Review 10% of patient charts
, as mandated by Georgia PMHNP regulations.Provide consultation and guidance on complex or challenging cases.
Ensure ongoing compliance with Georgia state laws and DEA requirements
.Maintain open and professional communication, including periodic check-ins and availability for guidance.
Active Medical License in Georgia (Required).
Clean professional record (no violations or disciplinary history).
Experience in psychiatric care, ideally in a collaborative setting.
Ability to review charts and advise on treatment plans.
Willingness to submit to a background check, if needed.
Malpractice insurance (or willingness to obtain coverage).
Commitment to signing a Collaborative Practice Agreement following Georgia law.
$250/month for the first 6 months (practice setup phase).
$300/month after initial 6 months.
Payments are issued monthly on the 1st.
Flexible, self-determined hours.
Regular check-ins (minimum of 30 minutes, twice weekly
).Commitment of at least 6 months
, with the option to extend by mutual agreement.30-day notice is required for termination by either party.
