Overview

Negotiate Contracts. Support Operations. Ensure Compliance.

As a Contract Specialist, You Will:

  • Prepare, review, and negotiate agreements with contracting agencies, payors, and other healthcare partners.
  • Consult frequently with operations and other departments during the contract preparation process.
  • Gather and analyze information and data from branch personnel, regulatory departments, contracting agencies, and other sources to support projects.
  • Provide input to field management to assess operational and financial feasibility of agreements.
  • Develop original contracts, letters, and other documents to support business objectives.
  • Ensure accurate and timely entry of information into the department database and compliance with policies and procedures.
  • Interact with internal customers and other departments (Risk Management, Clinical Services, Law, Regulatory) with a high level of professionalism and responsiveness.
  • Participate in special projects and other duties as assigned.
About You

Qualifications – What You’ll Bring:

  • Minimum 2 years of experience drafting and negotiating contracts in a healthcare setting
  • Experience with drafting, reviewing, and negotiating contracts
  • Excellent critical thinking and communication skills
  • Ability to work cohesively with a team, prioritize projects, and meet deadlines
  • Familiarity with payor contracts and credentialing processes
  • Knowledge of current and legally binding contractual language and terminology
  • Ability to identify, analyze, and propose solutions for problems
  • Knowledge of negotiation best practices
  • Bachelor’s Degree
Preferred Qualifications (Not Required)
  • Paralegal certificate
  • Prior experience in healthcare contract management
