Job Description

Receives, counts, and distributes clean linen throughout the hospital as needed in support of Children's Healthcare of Atlanta's mission, vision, and values. Performs all assigned duties and task in an effective, efficient manner and in compliance with all appropriate regulatory agency requirements that govern the operations of the department. Proactively supports efforts that ensure delivery of safe patient care and services and promote a safe environment at Children's Healthcare of Atlanta.

Job Responsibilities

* Places linen on hospital exchange racks by utilizing the par levels and calculating the amount of linen required.

* Calculates and completes daily linen report which shows the daily linen usage by the area.

* Takes inventory of the linen room after all areas have been serviced and prepares the next day order on the appropriate sheet.

* Updates the computer by inputting the daily linen usage by area.

* Sends daily linen order by computer to the processing plant.

* Prepares month-end linen usage report on the computer and prints copies for use in departmental journal entries.

* Manages the efficient, cost-efficient allocation of linen throughout the facility, providing a comprehensive monthly cost-analysis report.
