Assignment Details

• Department: 705A Histology Lab
• Position: Histology Tech
• No Local Candidates within 50 miles
• Duration: 13 Weeks
• Schedule: Monday ? Friday | 11:00 PM ? 7:30 AM (Nights)

• Minimum of 2 years of experience within specialty (Pathology Laboratory)
• Required Certification: ASCP (HT or HTL)
• Successful completion of a formal Histology Technologist training program OR Associate?s degree in Chemical, Physical, or Biological Sciences

• Department 705 includes Pathology, Cytology, and Immunohistochemistry (IHC)
• Receive surgical specimens and accession into Cerner
• Collect tissue blocks from Pathologist Assistant (PA) staff
• Process tissue specimens
• Embed, cut, and stain slides for microscopic evaluation
