American Traveler is hiring a travel MRI Technologist at a transplant facility and primary stroke center with a heavy focus on MRI/MRA imaging, requiring a minimum of 1 year of experience.
Details- Work in a hospital-based MRI unit at a transplant facility and primary stroke center
- MRI/MRA-heavy caseload with a focus on advanced neurological and vascular imaging
- 4x10 hour day shifts, Thursday through Sunday, 7:30 AM – 6:00 PM
- One weekend call every 6 weeks
- May float within the facility per scope of practice and to outpatient as needed
- Minimum of 1 year of MRI technologist experience
- ARRT (MR) certification required
- Current BLS required
- Active professional license required, if applicable
- Copies of certifications required for consideration
- First-time travelers are welcome to apply
- Local candidates are accepted
- RTO is capped at 7 days and must be submitted upfront; RTO cannot be requested during the first week of the assignment
- If one or two major holidays fall within the assignment period, travelers are expected to work those holidays and no holiday RTO can be requested; if three major holidays fall within the assignment period, travelers are expected to work two of them and may request one holiday off
- Major holidays include Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving/Black Friday, Christmas Eve/Christmas Day, and New Year's Eve/New Year's Day
- Travelers must be away from all facilities in this health system for a full year before returning as a traveler
- No alternate shifts or special scheduling requests are permitted; the posted shift is firm
- Two supervisory references (manager level or above; charge nurses not accepted) are highly preferred for consideration
- Full compliance is required to begin on time; non-compliance may result in a two-week delay due to the bi-weekly orientation schedule
