The Project Launch Program Specialist is responsible for the day-to-day implementation of grant funded activities, manages project timelines and budgets, and oversees required data collection and reporting. The role collaborates with partner universities, district departments, and federal grant representatives to ensure compliance and advance project goals. This position reports to the Coordinator, Psychological Services and is grant funded.

Important Note:

This position is grant-funded and thus will conclude in the year 2030. Employment is on a year-to-year basis and continuation in the role is dependent on the renewal of grant funds.

  • Develops and manages practicum, internship, and workforce development pipelines outlined in the grant, including coordination with partner institutions
  • Supports the expansion of student mental health career pathways, including work-based learning, advisory groups, and related outreach initiatives
  • Coordinates professional learning activities such as leadership cohorts, training sessions, and micro credentialing opportunities
  • Implements grant funded activities in alignment with the approved project plan and maintain a detailed plan outlining responsibilities, tasks, and timelines
  • Convenes regularly with the grant management team to monitor progress, address challenges, and ensure fidelity to the grant
  • Manages procurement processes, including the RFQ process for mental‑health service partners
  • Oversees the grant budget, purchasing processes, and documentation of all expenditures
  • Ensures compliance with federal reporting requirements by collecting and analyzing data, preparing progress and financial reports, and submitting them for approval and to the funder
  • Monitors program indicators and present findings to district leaders and stakeholders
  • Performs other duties as assigned by the appropriate administrator
Required Education

Bachelor’s Degree

Master's Degree preferred

Certification/Licensure

None required

Experience Qualifications

Minimum 3 years of experience working in student support services, program coordination, grant management, or related fields. Experience collaborating with school psychologists, social workers, school counselors, crisis intervention teams, and/or mental health providers preferred. Experience working in K-12 educational settings preferred.

  • Knowledge of project management principles and process improvement methods
  • Ability to plan, coordinate, and execute complex, interdependent programs or initiatives
  • Ability to coordinate cross-functional teams and collaborate across departments and partner organizations
  • Ability to successfully manage multiple priorities, projects, and responsibilities
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

    Ability to be a self-starter and prioritize activities to meet grant goals
  • Proficiency with data systems, spreadsheets, and project management tools
Working Conditions

  • Requires local travel between schools and administrative sites as needed
