Job Summary

The Senior Inventory Specialist maintains an adequate level of supplies in all areas serviced by Supply Chain Operations. This includes: stocking and restocking, picking supplies, staging orders, delivery of supplies, par level maintenance, code cart, and respiratory box maintenance. This position provides subject matter expertise to less experienced Inventory Specialist. The Sr Inventory Specialist works in a medium to heavy demand environment, moving equipment and supplies.

Responsibilities
  • Maintains the level of inventory in the Point-Of-Use stations and in the supply room warehouse.
  • Troubleshoots automated system and resolves minor system maintenance issues.
  • Ensures supplies are put away in the correct bin location.
  • Conducts cycle counts based on established guidelines.
  • Ensures the maintenance, exchange, and transport of specialty carts including code carts, surgical carts, respiratory boxes.
  • Processes replenishment requests in the materials management inventory system.
  • Audits supply deliveries against packing slips and put away reports.
  • Assists with physical inventory of Point-Of-Use stations and warehouse inventory.
  • Uses the Materials Management Information System (MMIS) and Point-of-Use application reporting tools to assist with the management of inventory levels.
  • Provides subject matter expertise and guidance to less experienced Inventory Specialists.
  • Additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • At least 6 months of experience working with a Materials Management system.
  • At least 2 years of experience in a related position, preferably in a Healthcare environment, managing multiple types of supplies.
