Job Overview

The Housekeeping Houseperson is responsible for assisting the housekeeping team in maintaining cleanliness and orderliness in guest rooms and public areas. This role involves various tasks to ensure a comfortable and pleasant experience for guests.

• Supply Management:
  Assist restocking housekeeping carts with cleaning supplies, amenities, and linens.
• Unloading and organizing incoming supply orders.
• Ensure all necessary supplies are readily available for housekeepers.
• Trash Removal:
  Collect and dispose of trash from guest rooms, hallways, and public areas; empty trash receptacles timely.
• Linens and Towels:
  Collect dirty linens and towels from guest rooms; deliver clean linens to carts or storage areas.

  Collaboration:
  
  Answer guest request calls regarding housekeeping matters; assist housekeepers with tasks such as making beds, vacuuming, and cleaning bathrooms.

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous housekeeping or cleaning experience is a plus.
• Attention to detail and time management skills.
• Proper use of cleaning equipment and supplies.
• Good communication skills and a positive attitude.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule including weekends, nights, and holidays.

Physical work is a primary part of many hotel and resort jobs. Physical requirements include extended standing and walking, climbing, bending, reaching, pulling, pushing, kneeling, and lifting up to 50 lbs. Work is performed in an interior hotel environment with equipment and machines. Exposure to extreme temperatures, chemicals, dirt, fumes, smoke, unpleasant odors, and/or loud noises. Hazards or physical risks require following safety precautions and use of protective equipment.
