- The Director of Housekeeping at Lenbrook Square Foundation Inc is responsible for overseeing the cleanliness and maintenance of the facility, ensuring a safe and welcoming environment for residents, staff, and visitors. This role involves strategic planning, staff management, and collaboration with other departments to uphold the highest standards of hygiene and service.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement comprehensive housekeeping policies and procedures to maintain cleanliness and safety standards.
- Lead, train, and supervise the housekeeping team to ensure efficient and effective operations.
- Conduct regular inspections to ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Manage inventory and procurement of cleaning supplies and equipment, ensuring cost-effective practices.
- Collaborate with other departments to coordinate housekeeping activities and support special events.
- Address and resolve resident and staff concerns related to housekeeping services promptly.
- Prepare and manage the housekeeping budget, ensuring financial accountability.
- Stay updated with industry trends and advancements to continuously improve service quality.
- Report to senior management on the status and progress of housekeeping operations and initiatives.
Required
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or a related field. Equivalent experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
Required Experience:
- Minimum of 7 years of progressive experience in housekeeping management, preferably within a senior living community, luxury hotel, or similar environment.
- Proven track record of successful leadership and team management, with at least 3 years in a director or senior management role.
- Experience in budget management, including forecasting, cost control, and financial reporting.

Skills and Abilities:
- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a diverse team.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills, with a keen attention to detail.
- Proficiency in the use of housekeeping management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to develop and implement effective operational policies and procedures.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to interact effectively with residents, staff, and external vendors.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and projects in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations and best practices in housekeeping operations.
