Talent Manager, HR Manager, Regulatory Compliance Specialist

About the RoleAs FMG’s Director of Recruiting, you will oversee the full lifecycle of attorney and professional staff recruitment across our national platform. You will develop and implement modern, data-driven strategies that support the firm’s growth goals, enhance the candidate experience, and build a strong, future-ready talent pipeline.
This position will partner closely with firm management, practice group leaders, and will report to HR leadership.

- Design and execute a comprehensive recruiting strategy aligned with FMG’s national growth goals and practice needs
- Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing recruiting team
- Oversee full-cycle recruitment for lateral partners, associates, first-year attorneys, and professional staff
- Utilize data and recruiting metrics to measure success and identify areas for continuous improvement
- Monitor legal talent trends and advise leadership on emerging hiring opportunities
- Ensure compliance with applicable employment laws, firm policies, and industry standards
- Implement and optimize technology tools—including AI and applicant tracking systems—to expand sourcing capabilities
- Collaborate across HR and firm leadership on workforce planning, hiring priorities, and strategic initiatives
- Manage time-to-hire, cost-per-hire, and other key performance metrics
- Build strong relationships across the firm to ensure seamless communication and alignment on hiring goals
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university required
- Juris Doctor degree from an ABA accredited law school preferred, but not required
- 7+ years of high level recruiting experience, including 3+ years in a law firm or professional services environment
- A human resources specific certification such as the PHR, SPHR or SHRM-CP certification considered a plus
- Demonstrated success leading recruitment efforts in a national multi-office setting
- Strong relationship-building skills with attorneys, partners, and senior executives
- Expertise in modern recruiting platforms; proficiency with Linked In required and UKG required
- Technologically savvy, including strong proficiency in Artificial Intelligence, Microsoft Office and collaboration tools
- Highly organized, proactive, detail-oriented, and able to manage competing priorities
- Exceptional judgment, discretion, and professionalism
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-expectation environment
