What

you will be doing
  • Works closely with business leaders to forecast resourcing needs and track employee active job status to support District and project goals.
  • Partners with the talent acquisition team with the selection of candidates at all levels of the organization.
  • Coordinates onboarding access, assets and activities for District level new hires and internal transfers to support an engaging onboarding experience.
  • Investigates employee relations inquiries and issues using prescribed Company processes and with the support and guidance of the legal compliance team.
  • Conducts exit interviews for all separated employees using Company processes and interview collection tools.
  • Works with legal counsel on immigration matters to ensure Company and employee compliance with Federal and State tax and document requirements.
  • Responsible for managing the organization's strategy for the global movement of talent, including immigration, relocation, and international assignments.
  • Manage international assignments, short- and long-term relocations, and permanent transfers, ensuring a smooth employee experience.
  • Administer U.S. immigration program and assist with end-to-end immigration procedures.
  • Respond to and administer a high volume of U.S. immigration queries from HR partners, managers, employees, and internal recruiters.
  • Support completion and timely submission of required information, including preparing petitions/applications for various immigration and non‑immigration visas.
  • Prepare individuals for interviews with immigration officials and initiate permanent residence cases.
  • Monitor immigration status of sponsored employees and provide guidance to affected stakeholders.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key business clients and HR teams.
  • Deliver training and updates to HR, business leaders, and employees regarding policy changes and best practices.
  • Proactively manage and mitigate risks impacting employees' immigration status to BU stakeholders.
  • Coordinate and lead communications with in‑house stakeholders and external immigration and legal advisors.
  • Develop and implement training programs for HR processes, project, state, or union required topics within District, with oversight of direct supervisor.
  • Schedule and facilitate HR trainings regarding Company systems, performance and compensation evaluation reviews, compliance trainings and Company programs. Provide input and lead HR program initiatives from development to implementation as needed.
  • Document and track employee relations issues within assigned projects or District to identify trends or training opportunities.
  • Recommend training and employee development activities for identified trends and implement solutions in partnership with key internal stakeholders.
  • Generate and submit employee information changes regarding new hires, transfers, terminations, compensation, benefit enrollment and employee demographic data updates through company‑prescribed workflows and systems.
What we are looking for
  • Bachelor's Degree in Human Resource Management, Business Administration or a related field required.
  • 7+ years' Human Resource Generalist experience required.
  • Prior OD/OE and change management experience preferred.
  • Construction industry or related industry experience preferred.
  • Senior Professional Human Resources (SPHR), Global Professional of Human Resources (GPHR), Certified Human Resources Professional (CHRP) certifications preferred.
  • Valid Driver's License.
  • Able to build relationships with internal and external business contacts required.
