Human Resources and General Affairs Coordinator
Location: Atlanta, GA
Compensation: $50,000-$80,000 annually
Hours: Full-Time
Employment Type: Full-Time, Onsite
Position SummaryThis position requires a hands-on HR professional who is familiar with HR systems and processes and can independently manage day-to-day responsibilities with minimal supervision. The role covers recruitment, onboarding/offboarding, payroll and benefits support, 401(k) administration, employee leave, OSHA documentation, workers' compensation, employee relations, training, and HR compliance.
Key Responsibilities- Independently coordinate recruiting, interviews, background checks, drug screenings, and hiring documentation.
- Manage onboarding/offboarding, including Form I-9 and E-Verify.
- Maintain confidential personnel files, HRIS data, and employee records.
- Support payroll processing, PTO, compensation changes, deductions, and time records.
- Administer benefits enrollment/changes and support 401(k) administration.
- Manage FMLA and other employee leave documentation.
- Maintain OSHA 300/300A/301 records and workplace safety documentation.
- Support workers' compensation claims and coordinate with employees, management, carriers, and service providers.
- Address routine employee questions regarding policies, payroll, benefits, and leave.
- Support performance reviews, promotions, transfers, and compensation changes.
- Maintain HR policies, procedures, handbook provisions, and compliance documentation.
- Coordinate employee training, meetings, engagement activities, and company events.
- Prepare HR reports and documentation and support internal/external audits.
- Maintain strict confidentiality of employee and company information.
Required:
- Minimum 1 year of HR or closely related administrative experience.
- Ability to independently perform day-to-day HR responsibilities with minimal supervision.
- Working knowledge of HR systems, processes, and employment-related requirements.
- Experience maintaining confidential employee information and personnel records.
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Must be currently authorized to work in the United States. No visa sponsorship is available for this role.
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in HR, Business Administration, or related field.
- HRIS and payroll system experience, particularly ADP or similar platforms.
- Hands-on experience with recruitment, onboarding, payroll, benefits, 401(k), FMLA/leave administration, OSHA recordkeeping, and/or workers' compensation.
