Paramount Legal is recruiting for an experienced Payroll & Benefits Manager to join a highly respected, well-established law firm. This is an outstanding opportunity for a detail-oriented benefits/payroll professional who enjoys managing the full payroll process while overseeing a comprehensive employee benefits program.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage the full-cycle biweekly payroll process for a large employee population, ensuring accuracy, confidentiality, and compliance.
  • Administer payroll taxes, reporting, audits, year-end processing, and retirement plan contributions.
  • Oversee the firm's employee benefits programs, including medical, dental, vision, life, disability, and retirement plans.
  • Lead annual open enrollment and new hire benefits orientation.
  • Serve as the primary resource for employee questions regarding payroll, benefits, leave administration, and related policies.
  • Maintain HRIS/payroll systems and ensure the integrity of employee data.
  • Partner with leadership and outside vendors to ensure all payroll and benefits programs operate efficiently and remain compliant with federal, state, and local regulations.
Qualifications:
  • 5+ years of payroll and benefits administration experience.
  • Prior experience in a law firm or professional services environment is strongly preferred.
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Accounting, Business, or a related field.
  • Experience with HRIS/payroll systems such as ADP, Workday, Paylocity, or similar platforms.
  • Advanced Excel skills, including Pivot Tables and VLOOKUPs.
  • Strong knowledge of payroll compliance, employee benefits administration, and leave management.
  • CPP, SHRM-CP, or SHRM-SCP certification is a plus.
