Pay: $150,000 - $170,000 plus a 10% bonus

Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Quality Engineer to join a focused team responsible for testing and assuring the quality of a robust data analytics platform. This role requires deep expertise in automation testing, particularly with Python, Pytest, SQL, and possibly dbt, to support the development of high-quality data solutions. The successful candidate will collaborate closely with data engineers and stakeholders to understand requirements, develop automation frameworks, and drive a culture of quality in a modern, cloud-based environment.

This position is based near Atlanta, GA. Atlanta is ideal, but open to their other offices in Chicago, Connecticut, Boston and LA.

• Proven experience in automation testing, with a focus on Python and Pytest
• Strong SQL skills, with experience working with dbt preferred
• Knowledge of behavior-driven development (BDD) approaches (e.g., Cucumber, Gherkin)
• Hands-on experience with modern cloud data lakehouse technologies such as Databricks or Snowflake
• Ability to understand business data needs and translate them into test requirements
• Experience collaborating within agile Scrum teams
• Excellent attention to detail and a risk-based approach to testing

• Engage with stakeholders early to understand data requirements and convert them into test cases
• Develop and maintain automated tests to verify code quality and prevent regressions
• Build and expand automation frameworks to improve testing effectiveness and efficiency
• Collaborate with data engineers and quality engineers to ensure comprehensive test coverage
• Participate in code reviews and foster a culture of continuous improvement
• Contribute to building a quality-first mindset across the organization
• Support CI/CD processes through integrated testing solutions using Azure Pipelines
