Stub Hub is seeking a Fin Ops Engineer to support the optimization of cloud costs, monitor usage, and implement financial governance for Stub Hub’s technology infrastructure. In this entry‑level role, you will support the implementation and optimization of financial operations (Fin Ops) practices across our cloud environments. Working closely with engineering, finance, and procurement teams, you will help monitor cloud usage, analyze spend patterns, identify cost‑saving opportunities, and ensure financial accountability across cloud services.
The ideal candidate has a foundational understanding of cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP), a strong analytical mindset, and a passion for bridging the gap between finance and technology.

Hybrid (3 days in office/2 days remote) – Atlanta, GA
Platform Operations at Stub Hub is a cross‑functional team that incorporates engineering, finance, and operations to ensure the seamless, reliable, cost‑effective management of systems and processes that keep the Stub Hub platform running. Core responsibilities include technology vendor onboarding and management, usage visibility, cost reporting, and analysis. In partnership with finance, engineering, and IT teams, Platform Operations oversees SaaS and cloud provider contract alignment, spend optimization, and tooling lifecycle management.
The team is responsible for ensuring accurate technology budgets and forecasts; with internal tooling, monitoring frameworks, and policy enforcement to ensure financial accountability within engineering. The team plays a critical role in driving operational excellence, financial transparency, and sustainable scaling across the Stub Hub technology organization.
- Write and optimize SQL queries to extract and analyze financial data from cloud billing systems.
- Analyze cloud usage and spending patterns using AWS services such as Athena, Glue, and Quick Sight.
- Develop and maintain dashboards and visualizations in Quick Sight and Grafana to monitor and alert on cloud cost metrics.
- Monitor and report on Microsoft Azure resource usage and costs.
- Consolidate and report on cost data from vendors including Snowflake, OpenAI, Anthropic and more.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to implement cost‑saving strategies and forecasting models.
- Develop, document, and maintain policy and procedures for accurate cost attribution.
- Customize and update monthly cost reporting for engineering department leads.
- Automate Fin Ops processes to improve efficiency and accuracy.
- Contribute to the monthly and annual infrastructure cost forecast.
- Partner with engineering leaders to create cost budgets and forecasts for new projects and initiatives.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Finance, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- 1‑2 years of experience in cloud financial operations or a related role.
- Proficiency with AWS services, including Athena, Glue, and Quick Sight.
- Understanding of AWS Cost and usage reports.
- Hands‑on experience with Grafana or other tools for creating dashboards and visualizations.
- Strong SQL skills for querying and analyzing large datasets.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Azure cost management and monitoring tools.
- Excellent analytical and problem‑solving skills.
- Strong communication skills to collaborate with technical and non‑technical stakeholders.
- Certifications in AWS (e.g., AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner) or Azure (e.g., Azure Fundamentals).
- Experience with cloud cost optimization tools or frameworks.
