We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Software Procurement Manager to oversee our software procurement processes. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in software management, procurement, and licensing, with specific experience using Service Now. In this role, you will be responsible for managing the procurement of software licenses and services for our organization, ensuring that we keep up with software demands while implementing new systems and processes.
Key Responsibilities- Software Procurement Management
- Lead the software procurement process, managing requests for software licenses and ensuring compliance with licensing agreements.
- Collaborate with various departments to assess software needs and optimize procurement strategies.
- Service Now Implementation
- Oversee the implementation and management of our software procurement processes within Service Now.
- Work closely with IT and other stakeholders to ensure smooth integration and transition to the Service Now platform.
- Software Asset Management (SAM)
- Utilize Software Asset Management practices to track and manage software usage and licensing throughout the organization.
- Maintain accurate records of software licenses and ensure proper allocation among cost centers.
- Excel and Manual Processing
- Perform manual data entry and tracking of software procurements and allocations using Excel and any relevant tools.
- Improve current manual processes and work towards automating them through the Service Now platform.
- Cross-Department Collaborations
- Interface with finance and accounting departments to provide software billing information and accurate allocation across different cost centers.
- Serve as a liaison between procurement, IT, and end-users to resolve any software-related issues.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, or related field.
- Proven experience in software procurement management and software asset management.
- Demonstrated expertise in Service Now, particularly related to software procurement processes.
- Advanced proficiency in Excel, with skills in data analysis and reporting.
- Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and maintain attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Experience in a high-volume software procurement environment.
- Familiarity with licensing agreements for various software products (e.g., Adobe, Canva).
- Knowledge of ITIL or other IT service management frameworks.
