Platform Architect

We’re looking for a Senior Platform Architect to help modernize a large, legacy platform by evolving it from a traditional monolithic architecture into a well-structured, modular, cloud-native system. This is a high-impact individual contributor role and the sole architect on the team initially, working closely with the CTO and senior engineering leaders.

This role is ideal for an architect who enjoys hands-on technical ownership
, pragmatic modernization, and shaping long-term platform strategy without forcing unnecessary architectural complexity.

This person must currently be in the Atlanta area or willing to relocate day 1. The role will start out on-site but move to a hybrid model after ramp up (2 days in office)

• Lead the evolution from a legacy monolithic system to a modular, scalable architecture
• Define clear module boundaries, domains, and ownership models to improve maintainability and delivery velocity
• Establish architectural principles that support incremental modernization
  , not “big bang” rewrites
• Reduce technical debt while enabling faster, safer feature delivery
• Own the long-term target-state architecture and modernization roadmap

• Architect solutions on Microsoft Azure
  , including Service Bus, Cosmos DB, SQL Server, and CI/CD pipelines
• Partner closely with engineering teams working in .NET / ASP.NET / C#, Angular, and Type Script
• Define standards and best practices around:
  • Cloud-native resiliency and scalability
  • CI/CD, observability, and operational readiness
• Ensure architectural decisions are aligned with SaaS scalability, security, and performance needs
• Work directly with the CTO on platform strategy and architectural direction
• Collaborate with globally distributed engineering teams and stakeholders
• Communicate architectural concepts clearly and effectively
• Act as a technical authority while remaining practical and delivery-focused

• Current Platform Architect or Solutions Architect with ~3+ years in an architect role
• Strong development background prior to moving into architecture
• Proven experience modernizing legacy architectures
  , especially moving toward modular monolith or modular platform designs
• Deep hands-on experience with:
  • Angular
• Experience supporting commercial SaaS platforms (not only internal-facing systems)
• Strong communication skills and comfort working cross-functionally and globally

• Experience serving as the sole architect or primary architectural decision-maker
• Exposure to Generative AI or AI agent architectures
• Global team or international platform experience

• Own the architectural direction of a mission-critical platform
