Database Administrator

We are seeking an experienced Postgre

SQL Database Administrator (DBA) to support and optimize our cloud-based SaaS platform. This role will focus on Postgre

SQL administration, performance tuning, and database reliability within an AWS environment. The ideal candidate is comfortable working in an Agile development setting, collaborating closely with engineering teams, and managing database changes through code-based migrations and ORM frameworks.

• Administer, maintain, and support Postgre
  
  SQL databases in a cloud-based SaaS environment
• Design, implement, and optimize database schemas, indexes, and queries to ensure high performance and scalability
• Monitor database performance and proactively identify and resolve bottlenecks
• Perform routine database maintenance, backups, recovery, and capacity planning
• Manage database changes using code-based migrations and collaborate with development teams on ORM-driven designs
• Ensure database security, availability, and compliance with best practices
• Support production and non-production environments, including troubleshooting and incident resolution
• Participate in Agile development processes, including sprint planning, stand-ups, and retrospectives
• Collaborate with Dev Ops and engineering teams to improve CI/CD pipelines related to database deployments

• 5+ years of hands‑on experience administering Postgre
  
  SQL databases
• Strong expertise in Postgre
  
  SQL performance tuning, query optimization, and index design
• Experience supporting cloud-based SaaS applications
• Practical experience with AWS technologies (e.g., RDS/Aurora Postgre
  
  SQL, EC2, S3, Cloud Watch)
• Solid understanding of ORM concepts and database schema changes via code migrations
• Experience working in Agile or Scrum-based development environments
• Strong troubleshooting and problem‑solving skills
