You’ll take the lead in designing, operating, and optimizing modern data systems across SQL and No
SQL technologies. Your work will directly impact how the organization builds products, delivers analytics, and powers data‑driven decisions worldwide.

What You’ll DoYou’ll own the full lifecycle of AWS data systems including:
- Redshift
- DynamoDB
- Timescale DB
Your responsibilities include installation, upgrades, backups/restores, HA/DR architecture, capacity planning, and ongoing operational excellence. You’ll handle the nuts and bolts of runtime operations—connection management, memory tuning, lock/contention avoidance, and more.
⚡ Push Performance to the LimitYou’ll be the go‑to expert for performance engineering:
- Advanced SQL & No
SQL tuning - Query plan optimization
- Hot partition mitigation
- Auto‑vacuum tuning and maintenance optimization
- RCA for latency, throughput, and persistent query issues
You’ll solve big performance problems at scale—and prevent new ones before they occur.
🤝 Collaborate With Product & Engineering TeamsPartner closely with cross‑functional teams to support:
- Real‑time and batch data processing
- Reporting and analytics pipelines
You’ll be a trusted advisor on all things data.
Own visibility into data systems, including:
- Monitoring and dashboards (Cloud Watch, Prometheus, or similar)
- Slow‑query detection and performance trend analysis
- Data quality checks and drift detection
- Environment diffing and automated stability safeguards
You’ll help ensure issues are detected early—and fixed fast.
🚀 Embrace “Data as Code”Champion modern Dev Ops practices:
- CI/CD workflows for ETL/ELT pipelines and database scripts
- Automated tests, validation, and migration/rollback strategies
- A disciplined, version‑controlled approach to data infrastructure
- 3+ years working with AWS‑based data platforms in production
- 3+ years as a DBA or database engineer supporting both relational and No
SQL systems, including: - Redshift
- DynamoDB
- MongoDB
- HA/DR design, upgrades, performance tuning, and security
- Managing distributed databases, partitioning strategies, and long‑term data lifecycle management
- Observability tooling, automation frameworks, and proactive scaling
- Ensuring stability for large, complex, always‑on systems
