About the Role
Our client is implementing Workday Financials across the entire enterprise—a historic modernization initiative transforming decades of legacy Microsoft Dynamics GP processes. This is a high-visibility, senior technical role responsible for Workday Financials integrations, architecture collaboration, and long-term technical ownership of Workday integrations post–go live. You will partner directly with our Workday implementation partner from Day 1 and serve as the L2/L3 technical expert for all Financials integrations once the platform is live.

Key Responsibilities
Workday Financials Integrations & Architecture
Lead the design, development, and deployment of Workday Financials integrations, working closely with the SI partner.
Develop complex integrations using Workday Studio, EIB, Core Connectors, Cloud Connect, RaaS, and REST/SOAP APIs.
Architect scalable integration patterns between Workday Financials and external systems including Salesforce, two internal bespoke systems, and the Enterprise Data Warehouse (EDW).
Own critical financial integration areas:
Credit Note Management
Invoicing
Revenue Recognition
Implementation & Project Delivery
Engage from Day 1 in solution architecture, requirements, mapping, design reviews, and technical documentation.
Provide complete knowledge transfer during implementation to ensure long-term internal capability.
Participate in Workday cutover, go-live readiness, and post-production hypercare.
Support full lifecycle development for new integrations and ongoing optimization.
Post Go-Live Support
Serve as L2/L3 escalation for all integration-related issues.
Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve complex errors with Studio, EIB, data transformations, and financial transaction flows.
Support continuous design improvements, quarterly releases, and new enhancements.
Technical Leadership
Provide mentorship, code review, and guidance to junior engineers.
Drive technical standards, integration best practices, and operational excellence across ETS.
Collaborate with Accounting, Finance, Procurement, Revenue, and Business Systems teams to ensure alignment with business requirements.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
Work closely with implementation partners, Finance stakeholders, Product Owners, and business SMEs.
Help shape the company’s Workday Financials roadmap and operational model.
Serve as the technical advisor during planning, prioritization, and demand management.

Required Qualifications
7+ years of experience with Workday integrations and Financials modules.
Deep expertise in:
Workday Studio
EIB (inbound/outbound)
Workday Core Connectors & Document Transformation
Reporting as a Service (RaaS)
Custom Reports & Calculated Fields
Strong experience integrating Workday with third-party and internal systems (Salesforce, EDW, and/or external financial platforms).
Prior background at a large enterprise or SI/consulting partner strongly preferred.
Advanced troubleshooting, debugging, and hands-on development skills.
Familiarity with Financials functions:
General Ledger, AP, AR, Procurement, Assets, Banking, Revenue, and/or Accounting Center.

Experience with SDLC methodologies (Agile/Waterfall) and tools such as JIRA, Confluence, Service Now.
Strong communication and documentation skills; ability to influence stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications
Experience designing or supporting global Workday Financials implementations.
Knowledge of Salesforce-to-Workday financial workflows.

Experience with financial data pipelines, integration middleware, or EDW data flows.
Background supporting Workday quarterly releases and tenant optimization.
Strong architectural thinking and system design experience.
Education
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or equivalent experience.
Travel Requirement
1 week in Atlanta for onboarding and training.
Quarterly travel to Atlanta (or as needed by the team). xrlwcon
