My Fortune 200 client is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Report Developer to join our team. As a Report Developer, you will be responsible for designing and developing a wide range of reports and dashboards to provide valuable insights to the organization. You will collaborate with various stakeholders to understand their reporting requirements and ensure the timely delivery of accurate and easily understandable reports.
JobExperience and Education
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in report development or a related field
- Bachelor's degree in analytics, computer science, information systems, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
- Knowledge of Power
BI (or an equivalent Data Visualization tool) - Utility industry experience desired
- Develop, design, and maintain reports, dashboards, and data visualizations using industry-using Power BI
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather reporting requirements and translate them into effective report designs
- Retrieve and manipulate data from various sources, ensuring data quality and accuracy
- Implement and optimize data models to support reporting needs
- Create and maintain documentation for reports, including data definitions, report specifications, and user guides
- Perform data analysis to identify trends, patterns, and insights
- Troubleshoot report-related issues and provide timely resolutions
- Conduct thorough testing and analysis of developed reports to ensure accuracy, data integrity, and adherence to business requirements before final delivery
- Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and technologies in report development and data visualization
- Strong understanding of data modeling concepts and database management
- Excellent knowledge of SQL and data querying languages
- Experience with data visualization best practices and design principles
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively across teams and with stakeholders
- Ability to quickly adapt to new technologies and tools
- Knowledge of energy industry-specific reporting requirements and metrics is a plus
