SAP Test Lead​/Project Manager

We are seeking an experienced SAP Test Lead / Project Manager to drive Quality Engineering (QE) strategy and execution for a complex SAP-integrated environment. This role will lead end-to-end quality initiatives across custom applications and SAP systems, ensuring seamless integration, data integrity, and release readiness.

The ideal candidate brings strong SAP integration expertise, hands‑on quality engineering capabilities, and proven leadership experience managing cross‑functional teams in hybrid enterprise landscapes.

• Define and implement comprehensive test strategies covering integration validation, end‑to‑end workflows, and cross‑system data consistency between custom applications and SAP.
• Establish scalable quality processes for both custom codebases and SAP interfaces (data contracts, services, integrations).
• Champion a “shift‑left” testing culture by collaborating early with architects, developers, and SAP functional teams.
• Own QE frameworks including automation, regression coverage, performance testing, and non‑functional validation.

• Lead System Integration Testing (SIT), End‑to‑End (E2E) testing, and SAP‑dependent regression cycles aligned to project timelines.
• Design test data strategies to validate cross‑system workflows such as pricing, inventory, order lifecycle, material availability, costing, and quality validations.
• Validate integration resilience, including retry logic, queue behavior, error handling, and exception processing.
• Ensure middleware and interface stability across integration touchpoints.

• Serve as the primary quality point of contact across:
• SAP functional consultants
• SAP BASIS and technical teams
• Business SMEs and product owners
• Facilitate defect triage and alignment sessions for integration gaps and cross‑platform issues.
• Partner closely with SAP teams to validate functional configurations, enhancements, and transport readiness.

• Drive QE work streams within the overall project plan, managing timelines, dependencies, and critical milestones.
• Lead onsite and offshore QE resources across functional, integration, regression, and performance testing.
• Track and manage QE RAID logs, proactively mitigating integration risks.
• Coordinate test environment readiness across custom applications, SAP QA systems, and middleware platforms.
• Ensure release validation aligns with SAP transport schedules, code freezes, and deployment cycles.

• Develop deep understanding of custom application architecture and SAP interface designs.
• Review API contracts, mapping documents, IDoc structures, and integration specifications for testability.
• Lead automation strategy across UI, API, and integration layers.
• Oversee performance and scalability testing, particularly SAP‑dependent high‑volume scenarios.
• Validate monitoring, logging, and alerting mechanisms to ensure post‑go‑live stability.

• Deliver clear quality dashboards highlighting integration health, defect trends, and release readiness.
• Communicate impacts of SAP changes, upgrades, and system outages on dependent applications.
• Partner with business stakeholders to validate end‑to‑end workflows across systems.

• 10+ years of experience in Quality Engineering, with strong expertise in integration‑heavy enterprise systems.
• Solid understanding of SAP modules, interfaces, and data flows.
• Proven experience leading QE teams in complex hybrid landscapes (custom applications + ERP).
• Hands‑on experience in API testing, integration automation, and end‑to‑end workflow validation.
• Knowledge of middleware technologies (CPI, SAP BTP Integration Suite, Mule Soft, Kafka, etc.).
• Strong project management, planning, and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Experience with test management and Dev Ops tools (Azure Dev Ops, Jenkins, Git Hub, Worksoft, etc.).

• Experience with SAP S/4
  
  HANA and SAP modernization initiatives.
• Exposure to modern application stacks (React, .NET, Java, Node.js, Python, mobile applications).
• Experience with performance testing tools (JMeter, K6).
• Automation expertise across UI and API layers.
• Familiarity with microservices and event‑driven architectures integrated with SAP.
