This is a full-time, onsite position (5 days per week) based in Atlanta, GA;
Charlotte, NC;
Raleigh, NC;
Richmond, VA;
Dallas, TX or Greensboro, NC.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for Workday configuration for specific Workday modules (Compensation and Performance)
- Design, configure, test, and deploy Workday configuration changes.
- Maintain accurate documentation of system configurations and processes.
- Partner with HR and business teams to gather requirements and design solutions.
- Identify and drive quality and efficiency improvement opportunities.
- Troubleshoot and resolve Workday configuration-related issues.
- Ensure that all changes comply with technology policies and requirements.
- Identify, elevate, and remediate risks and comply with risk management standards.
- Manage and implement Workday configuration changes, ensuring compliance with established policies and governance frameworks.
- Partner with business and technology teams to evaluate project requirements and determine appropriate Workday modifications.
- Support ongoing operations by troubleshooting and resolving issues in a timely manner.
- Collaborate with Workday functional and technical teams to ensure seamless integration of changes across modules and functions.
- Participate in audits, control reviews, and risk assessments related to assigned functional area.
- Provide guidance and best practices to business partners.
- Bachelor's Degree and three to five years of experience or equivalent education and software engineering training or experience
- In-depth knowledge in information systems and ability to identify, apply, and implement best practices
- Understanding of key business processes and competitive strategies related to the IT function
- Ability to plan and manage projects and solve complex problems by applying best practices
- Ability to provide direction and mentor less experienced teammates. Ability to interpret and convey complex, difficult, or sensitive information.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
- Effective time management and prioritization.
- Broader understanding of Workday functional areas (e.g., HCM, Payroll, Finance) to better align security with business needs.
- Prior experience in a regulated or financial services environment.
- Demonstrated ability to identify process improvements and implement best practices in security management
- 5+ years of hands‑on Workday experience.
- Strong understanding of Workday business processes for assigned functional area.
- Familiarity with compliance and audit processes, preferably within a financial institution.
- Excellent analytical and problem‑solving skills, with attention to detail.
- Ability to work effectively with multiple business units and technical teams.
