Job Description
- The Technical Product Manager is responsible for defining the product vision, strategy, and roadmap while acting as the primary liaison between stakeholders, leadership, and development teams.
- This role requires a systems thinker with strong ownership mindset and a sharp focus on delivering value to the end user.
- Create and communicate the product roadmap to stakeholders and leadership.
- Define and articulate a clear product vision and strategy aligned with business objectives.
- Develop and maintain a detailed product roadmap outlining key features and timelines.
- Translate customer needs and business requirements into comprehensive product specifications.
- Author use cases and user stories and collaborate with engineering leads to prioritize features and enhancements.
- Work closely with engineering and design teams to ensure requirements are clear, feasible, and achievable.
- Oversee development teams to ensure delivery of high-quality software solutions that meet business needs.
- Define and oversee testing processes to ensure products are defect‑free prior to User Acceptance Testing.
- Facilitate the User Acceptance Testing process, including rollout plans and procedures.
- Present updates and proposals to steering committees and project sponsors.
- Develop, track, and manage project plans, timelines, and scope.
- Assess risks and apply management principles to technology applications and business functions.
- Lead Agile and Scrum ceremonies effectively.
- 5–10 years of experience in Product Management.
- Proven experience in software product management with strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
- Experience delivering technology and business application solutions in large‑scale, multi‑platform system environments across all phases of the product lifecycle.
- Strong knowledge of Agile and Scrum methodologies with the ability to lead ceremonies.
- Strong people management and team‑building skills.
- Ability to quickly learn business processes and collaborate effectively with stakeholders at various organizational levels.
- Strong risk assessment and management capabilities related to technology products and business functions.
- Prior media industry experience and/or experience with broadcast control rooms.
- Cloud experience is a plus.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to multi‑task efficiently.
- Demonstrated flexibility and adaptability in dynamic environments with competing priorities.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality of company and employee information.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field required.
- MBA or other advanced degree preferred.
