Senior Product Manager, Smart Trailers, Middle Mile Fleet Management

Surface Transportation org is expanding and introducing new capabilities to our Fleet Management business that supports all Middle Mile assets (tractors, trailers, box trucks, hostlers). In this role you will deliver world class solutions while wearing many hats and working in a highly collaborative environment that is more startup than big company. This role will require strong leadership skills and interaction/influence with teams across Amazon to drive the development of our maintenance business.

The role involves day to day interaction with senior Amazon leaders as internal customers, understanding their needs and converting them into efficient business models. The role requires regular interactions with multiple teams and jointly working with them to meet both short term and long term business needs. This position is a multi-faceted role requiring the ability to balance strategy and execution.

• Lead the strategic development and implementation of business telematics solutions for our non-powered transportation assets, including trailers and intermodal containers. Build a "hands off the wheel" fleet operation through advanced sensor technology and data integration.
• Drive the development and optimization of Smart Trailer fleet coverage, overseeing multiple sensor systems including tire pressure monitoring, ABS, cargo cameras, and door sensors. Develop scalable solutions with internal tech teams and plan future in-house capabilities. Manage relationships across a broad range of stakeholders.
• Improve maintenance efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance delivery accuracy through data-driven decisions. Lead safety and security initiatives while ensuring seamless integration with yard management and fleet optimization systems.
• Bring extensive experience in transportation technology or fleet management, with a strong technical background in telematics or IoT systems. Demonstrate a proven track record of managing complex, cross-functional programs, and experience in data analytics and system integration.
• Engage with cross-functional teams, analyze complex data sets, and design scalable solutions that reimagine fleet management. Craft comprehensive product roadmaps and translate technical insights into transformative business strategies.

Basic Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent
• 5+ years of product or program management, product marketing, business development or technology experience
• Experience in areas such as market research, statistics, finance or qualitative/quantitative research
• Experience in delivering end-to-end customer research studies, including study design, fieldwork (qualitative research moderation and survey execution), analysis, recommendations, reporting and presentation of results to senior leadership
• Experience working across functional teams and senior stakeholders
• 5+ years of data analysis in the facilities maintenance program, specifically in asset management and spare part optimization experience

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with feature delivery and tradeoffs of a product
• Master's degree or equivalent
