Physical Access Control Coordinator — Atlanta - Midtown
OnSite and Hybrid
Salary Up To $70,000
Required Qualifications- 2–5 years of experience in physical security, access control administration, or security operations
- Hands-on experience with physical access control systems (Lenel, CCURE, or similar systems)
- Strong understanding of access governance, audit practices, and role-based access models
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities effectively
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently while collaborating across teams
- Familiarity with security compliance frameworks (ISO 27001, SOC 1/2, PCI)
- Knowledge of video surveillance systems (VMS) and intrusion detection systems (IDS)
- Experience working with ticketing systems and access request workflows
- Experience supporting data centers, critical infrastructure, corporate campuses, or regulated environments
- Administer physical access control systems (PACS), including badge issuance, access level assignment, modifications, suspensions, and revocations
- Ensure access is provisioned strictly in accordance with approved requests, role-based access standards, and least-privilege principles
- Coordinate onboarding, offboarding, and role changes with HR, Security, and Site Operations teams
- Maintain biometric and credential records where applicable (e.g., smart cards, PINs, biometric readers)
- Monitoring & Daily Operations
- Support site operations during normal and off-hours as needed for access-related issues
- Coordinate access support for employees, contractors, and approved visitors
- Respond to access control incidents and assist with investigations and documentation
- Conduct regular access reviews and audits to validate access appropriateness and system accuracy
- Support compliance activities related to ISO 27001, SOC, PCI, or other regulatory frameworks
- Maintain accurate records of access requests, approvals, audits, and corrective actions
- Prepare access-related reports and metrics for leadership and auditors
- Cross-Functional Coordination
- Partner with Facilities, Construction, IT, and Security vendors to support system installations, upgrades, and maintenance
- Coordinate access requirements for new sites, expansions, construction projects, and temporary operational needs
- Act as a liaison between field teams and central security for escalations and exceptions
- Documentation & Continuous Improvement
- Maintain and update access control SOPs, job aids, and training materials
- Identify gaps, risks, and opportunities to improve access governance and operational efficiency
- Support the implementation of standardized access control processes across sites
- May require occasional after-hours support during incidents, audits, or system maintenance
- Role may include coordination across multiple sites and time zones
