Job Description
Summary:
Seeking an experienced cross‑platform DBA to design, secure, and operate SQL Server/Azure SQL, Postgre
SQL, and Mongo
DB environments. Role includes performance tuning, automation, database lifecycle management, cloud/on‑prem migrations, and maintaining strict ITAR compliance.
Key Responsibilities:
Core DBA
Monitor, tune, and maintain database performance, availability, and security.
Manage backups, restores, and disaster recovery processes.
Automate routine operations and maintenance tasks.
Provide production support and participate in on‑call rotations.
SQL Server & Azure SQL
Design and operate SQL Server/Azure SQL databases and support cloud migrations.
Handle performance tuning, Agent jobs, replication, and patching.
PostgreSQL
Create/manage schemas, indexes, roles, and DB objects.
Perform maintenance, tuning, capacity planning, and issue resolution.
MongoDB
Design clusters, sharding strategies, and performance optimization.
Support deployments, upgrades, configuration, and automation.
ITAR & Security Compliance
Enforce access controls, RBAC, encryption, and auditing for ITAR‑regulated data.
Ensure compliant backup, replication, migrations, and data residency.
Support ITAR audits, documentation, and evidence collection.
Qualifications
U.S. Person (ITAR requirement).
8–10 years SQL Server DBA experience + 4+ years Azure SQL.
Strong Postgre
SQL administration experience.
Strong Mongo
DB architecture and operations experience.
Expertise in performance tuning, automation, DR, and production support.
