DPG Social Media Manager

The Opportunity:

DPG is seeking a highly organized and collaborative digital leader to help drive our social media strategy and execution. This role will work closely with the Communications Director to coordinate the social media priorities, oversee content operations, and ensure alignment with the party’s broader goals. The ideal candidate will thrive at driving content calendars, developing and drafting creative, relevant social media messaging, managing workflows, and fostering cross-team collaboration to deliver compelling digital engagement.

• Content Operations
  • Own the full social media content creation process, from brainstorming to drafting to video editing to calendar management to analytics.
  • Ensure that digital content reflects the broader communications strategy and integrates relevant messaging from other departments.
  • Flag emerging issues or opportunities for digital engagement to the Communications Director.
• Team & Workflow Coordination
  • Support the Communications Director in managing the party’s social media strategy and execution.
  • Manage digital project timelines and approvals to ensure deliverables are on track.
• Cross-Team Collaboration
  • Serve as a point of contact for coordinating digital content needs across departments — especially with Organizing and Political teams.
  • Help track and report on key digital outputs and metrics.
  • Help to prioritize requests from across departments.

• 1-2 Electoral cycles of social media and/or digital communications experience on a campaign or in a campaign‑aligned role (committee, agency, etc.).
• Experience coordinating projects or team operations in a fast‑paced environment.
• Strong writing and editing skills, with a close eye for tone, clarity, grammar, and message alignment.
• Familiarity with digital tools and platforms such as Act Blue, Word Press, and Adobe Creative Suites, Social Media monitoring and planning tools, and Mobilize.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to manage competing priorities, meet deadlines, and keep others on track.
• Commitment to the mission and values of the Democratic Party.
• Awareness of and engagement with social media trends and best practices.

• Experience supervising or mentoring staff or interns.
• Familiarity with Georgia politics or the State Democratic Party infrastructure.
• Experience working with vendors or consultants.
• Basic comfort with creating visual content and editing video.
