Job Description Summary The Business Application Analyst is responsible for the configuration, administration, optimization, and ongoing support of the Workday platform. This role partners closely with HR, Finance, Payroll, and IT stakeholders to ensure Workday solutions align with business needs, support operational efficiency, and maintain data integrity. The analyst serves as a subject matter expert for assigned Workday modules and plays a key role in system enhancements, reporting, and troubleshooting.
Additionally support Workday integrations with other enterprise systems such as UKG, Servicenow, Strata, and ancillary HR systems.
Job Description:
· Configure, maintain, and optimize Workday modules such as HCM, Payroll, Benefits, Time Tracking, Financials, Recruiting, and Talent.
· Support EIBs and create integrations between Workday and other enterprise systems.
· Gather and analyze operational workflows, technical requirements, and functional specifications for various business applications.
· Demonstrate business and application expertise during workflow design, validation sessions, integrated work sessions, and on-going system optimizations.
· Work with users, other IS analysts and system vendors to design, develop, test, and implement business applications and data integration solutions.
· Perform application and integration testing using structured test scripts; document results and follow up on identified issues.
· Test software prior to implementation, as well as that of others on the Business Applications Team, against project requirements.
· Troubleshoot system issues when necessary, solving moderate to complex application and integration issues. Follow up in a timely manner with appropriate customers and IS personnel.
· Ensure change control and change management procedures are properly followed.
· Routinely review system integration error queues. Work with customer and IS personnel for resolution of errors.
· Create documentation and knowledge articles for assigned development projects; review that of others on the Business Applications Team.
· Actively communicate with team members and IS Management regarding ongoing project statuses.
· Escalate issues to IS Management when appropriate.
· Effectively communicate with customers.
· Maintain knowledge of current technology in use at Shepherd Center and its ability to achieve business objectives.
· Provide general support, administration, and maintenance of the Service Now platform and associated applications.
· Member of the Business Applications team On Call rotation as necessary for after hours system interface support.
· Perform other related duties as required.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Systems, engineering or equivalent related experience.
