About the job you’re consideringLooking for a GCP Architect with Data Engineering experience to lead complex technology initiatives.
Your Role- Lead end to end architecture design for cloud data platforms on Google Cloud Platform.
- Define reference architectures, patterns, and best practices for data ingestion, processing, storage, and analytics.
- Architect and guide implementation of batch and streaming pipelines using Big Query, Dataflow, Pub/Sub, Cloud Storage, Dataproc, and Composer.
- Enable modern data lakehouse and data warehouse architectures aligned with analytics and AI use cases.
- Ensure alignment with data governance, quality, lineage, and security standards.
- Design infrastructure as code using Terraform or equivalent tools.
- Collaborate with platform teams on CI/CD, Data Ops, and monitoring strategies.
- Apply GCP security best practices, including IAM, networking, encryption, and compliance controls.
- Partner with business and technology stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical architectures.
- Act as a technical advisor on cloud data modernization and GCP best practices.
- Support solution design activities including technical estimates and architecture reviews.
- 10+ years of overall IT experience with 5+ years in cloud data architecture.
- Proven experience designing and delivering GCP based data platforms.
- Background with large enterprise data programs across industries.
- Deep expertise in Google Cloud Platform, including, Big Query, Cloud Storage,Dataflow (Apache Beam),Pub/Sub, Dataproc (Spark) and Composer (Airflow)
- Strong knowledge of data modeling, ETL/ELT, streaming architectures, and SQL.
- Experience with CI/CD, Terraform, and Data Ops practices.
- Exposure to AI/ML enablement on GCP (Vertex AI is a plus).
- Google Professional Data Engineer
- Google Professional Cloud Architect
- Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities.
- Ability to explain complex technical concepts to technical and non technical audiences.
- Experience working in global, distributed teams.
- Passion for innovation, engineering excellence
The base compensation range for this role in the posted location is $86,900 to $203,800.
Capgemini provides compensation range information in accordance with applicable national, state, provincial, and local pay transparency laws. The base compensation range listed for this position reflects the minimum and maximum target compensation Capgemini, in good faith, believes it may pay for the role at the time of this posting.
