Position: Solution Engineer (Pre-Sales) - All Levels - Informatica

About the Role

Salesforce is looking for Pre-Sales Solution Engineers to join our Informatica Pre-Sales Solution Engineering team. You will provide technical sales partnership to our sales teams and align our solutions to our customers' vision. The Informatica Sales team will rely on your technical and product expertise throughout the sales cycle. You will perform technical discovery qualification, deliver product demonstrations, Proof of Concepts, technical workshops, and make architectural recommendations.

You will connect the dots between the technical solution and business outcomes for the customer.

Your Role Responsibilities
  • Perform all activities leading up to the delivery of a customer demo including discovery, technical qualification/fit, customer presentations, standard demos, and related customer facing communication
  • Respond to Request for Information/Proposal documents
  • Manage customer engagements without support
  • Collaborate with Product Management, Engineering, and Product Marketing to continuously improve Informatica’s products and marketing
  • Share best practices, content, and tips and tricks within the primary area of responsibility
  • Stay current on certification of services required for area of responsibility
  • Partner with the CSM team on nurture activities including technical advisory, workshops, etc.
  • Provide customer feedback on product gaps using Vivun
  • Support demos at marketing events without support
Qualifications
  • Minimum 4-8 years of relevant experience in data integration, master data management, or data governance
  • 5+ years of presales/technical sales, industry, or consulting experience
  • Basic technical knowledge of hybrid deployment of software solutions, Data Warehousing, Database, and/or Business Intelligence software concepts and products.
  • Skills on at least one INFA related software platform /technology
  • Storytelling, and experience establishing communication and engagement with prospects specific to use cases
  • Experience engaging and creating relationships with influencers, coaches, decision makers, and partners
  • Ability to travel as needed (up to 50%) and to work flexible hours
  • Basic knowledge of top 3 cloud ecosystems and top 2 data related technologies highly preferred
  • Basic knowledge of cloud computing security aspects highly preferred
  • Certification on at least 1 cloud ecosystem and 1 data related cloud technology at the level defined by the business area of focus
  • Degree or equivalent relevant experience required. Experience will be evaluated based on the core competencies for the role (e.g. extracurricular leadership roles, military experience, volunteer roles, work experience, etc.)
Compensation

Base salary range: $70,070 - $244,510 annually. In selected California and New York cities, and majors including Boston, Chicago, Seattle, and Washington DC, the base pay range is $77,070 - $269,080 per year. Compensation beyond base may include incentive compensation, equity, and benefits.
