Position Overview

Western Union seeks a Manager, Implementation and Integration (Hybrid) based in Atlanta. The role leads delivery of complex Consumer‑to‑Business (C2B) initiatives across sales, product, engineering, operations, compliance, and external partners, ensuring on‑time delivery, technical alignment, and operational readiness.

Location & Work Arrangement

Office is required in Atlanta (minimum three days per week). Applicants must be authorized to work in the United States and must be based in or willing to relocate to Atlanta. Western Union does not sponsor work visas or provide relocation assistance.

Responsibilities
  • Lead end‑to‑end project management for all C2B implementations, integrations, and biller modifications.
  • Create, maintain, and deliver detailed project plans, timelines, and status reports aligned with business goals and regulatory requirements.
  • Coordinate with client project teams, Western Union IT, Operations, and cross‑functional stakeholders to ensure timely delivery of milestones and deliverables.
  • Own technical requirements and approvals, ensuring all integrations, dependencies, edge cases, and operational impacts are defined for Engineering intake.
  • Serve as central communication point among sales, support, operations, technical teams, and clients.
  • Maintain clear documentation of implementation activities, decisions, and risks.
  • Build relationships with clients to ensure solutions meet technical and operational needs.
  • Act as primary technical partner to Sales during pre‑implementation, leading technical discovery sessions and translating client needs into technical requirements.
  • Coordinate user testing and implementation, validate operational, technical, compliance, and performance requirements before production release.
  • Identify, track, and manage risks, dependencies, and issues; facilitate mitigation and escalation.
  • Control changes to scope, timelines, and resources with stakeholder alignment.
  • Deliver thorough handoffs to Operations and support teams, including documentation, known issues, and long‑term support needs.
  • Support initial post‑launch monitoring for smooth transition and early issue detection.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to identify opportunities for process improvements, automation, or workflow enhancements.
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree and 5–7 years progressive experience in project or program management within financial services, fintech, or payments.
  • Preferred certifications: PMP, Prince2, CSM/CSPO, other agile certifications, payments‑related certifications (Nacha, AAP, NCP, etc.).
  • Demonstrated experience managing API‑driven and platform‑integrated payment products (bill pay, real‑time payments, ACH, RTP, card‑based payments, etc.).
  • Experience working in agile environments (Scrum or Kanban) with developers, architects, QA, operations, and business teams.
  • Prior ownership of end‑to‑end technical delivery (requirements, design, development, testing, deployment, support).
  • Experience with vendors, processors, banks, and/or external biller networks (e.g., Fiserv, Master Card, Nacha, Pay Near Me ).
  • Excellent verbal and written communication with strong attention to detail, judgement, and critical thinking.
  • Ability to maintain long‑standing client relationships and lead technical discovery workshops.
  • Proficiency in Spanish is a plus.
  • Leadership experience or personal leadership skills are mandatory.
  • Comfortable working in a highly complex environment.
Salary

Base salary range: $103,000 – $137,000 USD per year, plus annual incentives aligned with individual and company performance.
