Cloud Services Engineer

Position

Cloud Service Engineer – 5 days in office, Atlanta office. US citizenship required for security clearance.

The Cloud Service Engineer will support the Servigistics products across the PTC private cloud. This role will be responsible for every facet of the SAAS lifecycle: from initial installation, upgrades, promotions to production, monitoring, technical support, and incident response. The role reports to the Servigistics software operations and support group and works with many supporting departments including R&D, networking, DBA, and systems.

• Prioritize issues of varying severity, and manage resolution or escalation within the ticketing system.
• Provide documentation, solutions, and root cause analysis for medium complexity customer issues using a customer‑centered approach.
• Install PTC Application Software and approved third‑party software (e.g., Apache, Tomcat, Intellicus, Kettle).
• Resolve issues and make decisions related to configuration of PTC applications.
• Facilitate communication between customers and internal teams to resolve issues.
• Execute documented upgrade procedures for PTC applications using PTC upgrade tools.
• Execute build deployments according to specified instructions.

• Installing/configuring Apache, Java, Tomcat.
• Basic Oracle command knowledge (select, insert, delete, join).
• Linux operating system proficiency.
• ETL tools:
  Pentaho PDI – installation, configuration, and use.
• Cloud computing technologies – AWS, Azure.

• 2+ years working in an IT Help Desk environment.
• Understanding of cloud technology.
• Basic command line Linux skills.
• Basic Oracle and troubleshooting skills.

• Associate’s degree in a technical field (IT, CS, Programming, etc.) plus 2 years of technical work experience, OR Bachelor’s degree in a technical field.
• Must be a US citizen.
• Must have or be able to obtain a security clearance.

Annual salary range: $85,000 – $100,000. Compensation may vary based on skills, qualifications, experience, and location. Candidates may be eligible for a performance‑based bonus.
