At EY, we’re all in to shape your future with confidence.
Senior SharePoint & Power Platform Engineer Consultant (Manager) – Migrations & Modern Intranet Role summaryIn this role, you will lead and deliver enterprise SharePoint Server (on‑premises) to Microsoft 365 migrations and build modern SharePoint Online intranets. You will shape target information architecture, migration waves, and modernization approaches (including workflow/forms modernization to Power Platform), and you will partner closely with client stakeholders to deliver secure, scalable, and supportable solutions. As a senior consultant, you will bring deep experience across SharePoint Server, SharePoint Online, and Microsoft 365 administration (including Entra , Teams, and One Drive).
You will lead and participate in full project life cycles—discovery, assessment, target‑state design, build/configuration, testing, migration execution, and deployment—and you will contribute to high‑quality client outcomes through solution blueprints, design reviews, and cross‑workstream collaboration.
- Assess & plan migrations: run discovery/inventory, define migration scope and waves, estimate effort/complexity, and establish cutover and hypercare plans.
- Design the target intranet: define information architecture, hub/site strategy, navigation, search approach, metadata/content types, and permissions model.
- Execute migrations: configure and operate Microsoft and third‑party migration tooling, manage pilots, remediate issues, and drive successful cutovers.
- Modernize solutions: map legacy workflows/forms (e.g., SharePoint Designer/Info Path/Nintex/K2) to Power Automate and Power Apps patterns where appropriate.
- Enable operations & governance: establish standards, provisioning/lifecycle controls, and operational reporting (including SharePoint Advanced Management where applicable).
- Lead stakeholders: run workshops, produce client‑ready deliverables, and communicate risks, tradeoffs, and decisions clearly to technical and business audiences.
- Delivering work across project phases (discovery, requirements, design, build, test, migration/cutover, and post‑migration stabilization) with strong project governance and risk management.
- Creating client‑ready deliverables (assessments, target‑state architectures, migration plans, runbooks, and executive communications) and contributing to reusable assets and accelerators.
- Applying broad technical depth across SharePoint Server/Online, Microsoft 365 identity and collaboration services, and the Power Platform to solve real client problems.
- Working effectively with client technologists and strategic partners/vendors to deliver an integrated solution.
- Building trusted relationships with stakeholders through clear communication, practical recommendations, and reliable delivery.
- Communicating effectively with client executives, product owners, business stakeholders, and engineering teams; translating requirements into actionable designs and plans.
- Interacting and communicating effectively with teammates, clients, stakeholders, and executives.
- 5+ years of consulting experience delivering SharePoint solutions and/or migrations using Microsoft technologies.
- Hands‑on experience with SharePoint Server (2013/2016/2019) and SharePoint Online administration and configuration.
- Proven experience planning and executing SharePoint migrations (assessment, waves, pilots, remediation, cutover, and hypercare).
- Experience with at least one major migration toolset (e.g., Microsoft Migration Manager, Share Gate, AvePoint, Quest, or similar).
- Experience implementing modern SharePoint Online intranets (IA, hubs, navigation, search, metadata, and permissions).
- Working knowledge of the Power Platform (Power Apps and Power Automate), especially for forms/workflow modernization…
