AWS Devops Engineer-Onsite

NTT DATA's Client is seeking an AWS Dev Ops Engineer to design, develop, and implement scalable, secure, and automated solutions within AWS cloud environments.

• Build, manage, and optimize CI/CD pipelines using Git Lab and other Dev Ops tools
• Configure, maintain, and support Dev Ops toolchain including Git Lab, Jira, and Confluence
• Automate infrastructure provisioning and application deployments using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) principles
• Monitor, troubleshoot, and improve system performance, reliability, and availability
• Collaborate closely with software development, infrastructure, and business teams to deliver high-quality solutions
• Lead design and implementation of Dev Ops environments and provide production support
• Drive adoption of cloud native technologies, Dev Ops practices, and automation across engineering teams
• Resolve application/system issues by partnering with developers, vendors, and internal teams
• Provide technical leadership on high-priority, complex initiatives with large business impact
• Coach and mentor team members, fostering a collaborative and high-performance environment
• Promote innovation, continuous improvement, and best practices in Dev Ops and Agile methodologies

• 6+ years of overall experience in Dev Ops, Cloud Engineering, or related roles
• 3+ years of hands‑on experience with AWS (EC2, S3, Lambda, VPC, IAM, Cloud Formation, etc.)
• Strong experience with CI/CD tools such as Git Lab CI/CD
• Proven experience with Dev Ops tooling including Jira and Confluence
• Solid understanding of Agile methodologies and Dev Ops practices
• Experience in scripting/programming (e.g., Python, Bash, or similar) for automation
• Expertise in infrastructure provisioning and configuration management
• Experience in system monitoring, performance tuning, and troubleshooting

• Experience leading or managing small engineering teams
• Experience with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes)
• Familiarity with security best practices in cloud and Dev Ops environments
• Knowledge of microservices architecture and distributed systems
• Strong problem‑solving and analytical skills
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills

• Act as a primary owner for high‑visibility and mission‑critical Dev Ops initiatives
• Provide both technical leadership and business alignment
• Influence cross‑functional engineering teams to adopt cloud and automation best practices
• Lead and mentor a team of engineers while guiding broader engineering communities
• Drive continuous improvement in system reliability, performance, and efficiency

• Preferred:
  Tempe, Arizona OR Atlanta, Georgia
• Candidates in these locations will be given first priority
• Travel:
  Minimal to moderate travel may be required based on project needs

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent work experience
