Position: Sr RW Programmer/Sr Data Scientist/Analyst - Real World Data(US and UK Only)

Job Responsibilities

  • Open to US, Canada, and UK applicants only – no sponsorship available.
  • Heavy programming and data review for Real‑World data analyses. Required experience with commercial databases such as Optum, Health Verity, or Pharm Metrics. Support for protocol and SAP review in collaboration with epidemiologists is critical. ICD knowledge is also important.
  • Develop and maintain statistical programs to support epidemiologists and client or business needs, including creation of analysis datasets, tables, listings, graphs, and other outputs. Evaluate and refine programming processes to improve productivity.
  • Contribute to program design, implementation, and delivery of processes, policies, and data sets. May manage up to two or fewer employees, direct lower‑level professionals, and oversee programming projects.
  • Prepare data specifications and understand study protocols. Review data and program outputs against protocol requirements, flag issues, and escalate appropriately.

    : SAS or R, with SQL experience.
  • Programmatic cohort derivation experience.
  • Index date definition.

    :
    • GLM

    • Cox proportional‑hazards
    • Propensity score matching
    • Incidence computation
  • Understand follow‑up period and impact.
  • Use of ICD or other clinical terminology.
  • OMOP CDM understanding – transform healthcare data into a common format.
  • Use of AI/ML for LLM, workflow, and scaffolding – ideal.
  • Nice to have:
    • AI/ML modeling experience
    • Git Hub experience and versioning
  • Develop custom programming code (R, SAS, Python, or other) to generate summary tables, data listings, graphs, and derived RW datasets per the statistical analysis plan and specifications.
  • Develop programming specifications.
  • Ensure outputs meet quality standards and project requirements. Perform validation programming and collaborate with biostatisticians, epidemiologists, and other team members to resolve discrepancies.
  • Maintain well‑organized, complete, and up‑to‑date project documentation, testing, verification, and quality‑control documents and programs to ensure inspection readiness.
  • Manage scheduling and time constraints across multiple projects. Set goals based on management priorities and adapt to changes by reorganizing daily workload.
  • Prepare for internal meetings, contribute ideas, and demonstrate respect for others’ opinions. Conduct effective internal meetings, distribute information in advance, and follow action items through to completion.
  • Review and provide input on project documentation such as Statistical Analysis Plan, mock shells, programming specifications, and RW database structure.
  • Participate in sponsor meetings, kickoff meetings, and other required meetings. Mentor junior programming personnel through training courses, reviewing work, and providing feedback.
  • Minimal travel may be required.
  • Qualifications
    :
    • Undergraduate or master’s degree, preferably in biostatistics, mathematics, epidemiology, or a related scientific or statistical discipline.
    • Extensive programming experience in SAS, R, Python, or equivalent software in a Real‑World environment.
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
    • Proficiency in reading, writing, speaking, and understanding English.

Salary Range: $80,600.00 – $. Actual salary will vary based on qualifications, skills, and experience.
