Role Overview

The SAP S/4

HANA Program Manager / Project Manager leads complex SAP implementation, migration, rollout, and stabilization programs for Prometheus client engagements. This person is accountable for translating business objectives into a controlled delivery plan, coordinating SI and client resources, managing governance, driving decisions, and keeping work streams aligned across scope, schedule, budget, testing, cutover, and hypercare.

Key Responsibilities
  • Own the integrated project plan, critical path, milestone tracking, dependency management, and day-to-day delivery cadence.
  • Establish and manage governance forums, including steering committee, project leadership meetings, workstream meetings, RAID reviews, testing checkpoints, and go/no-go readiness reviews.
  • Drive scope management, change control, issue escalation, risk mitigation, decision tracking, and project communication across business, IT, SI, and executive stakeholders.
  • Coordinate functional, technical, data, integration, security, testing, reporting, cutover, change management, and training work streams.
  • Ensure SAP methodology activities are translated into practical execution deliverables, owners, dates, dependencies, and acceptance criteria.
  • Partner with business process owners to resolve process design decisions, manage tradeoffs, and enforce fit-to-standard / clean-core principles where applicable.
  • Prepare executive-level status reports, steering committee materials, decision memos, risk summaries, and recovery plans.
  • Support SI management, including resource planning, deliverable review, performance escalation, invoice/time review, and alignment to statement of work expectations.
  • Lead readiness planning for testing, data conversion, integrations, cutover, training, hypercare, and post-go-live support.
  • Identify project risks early and push for timely decisions before they become timeline or go-live blockers.
Required Qualifications
  • 8+ years of ERP project/program delivery experience, including at least one SAP S/4

    HANA implementation, migration, or major rollout.
  • Strong understanding of SAP project phases, work streams, testing cycles, cutover planning, hypercare, and SI/client operating models.
  • Experience managing cross-functional teams across finance, supply chain, order management, procurement, warehouse, master data, integrations, reporting, and technical work streams.
  • Ability to create and maintain detailed project plans, RAID logs, decision logs, dependency trackers, status reports, and governance materials.
  • Strong executive communication skills with the ability to simplify complex issues into decisions, risks, options, and recommended actions.
  • Experience working with system integrators, internal IT teams, and business process owners in a client-facing environment.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with SAP S/4

    HANA Public Cloud or SAP Activate methodology.
  • Manufacturing, distribution, CPG, retail, or private-equity portfolio company experience.
  • Experience with SAP CALM, Smartsheet, MS Project, Jira, Azure Dev Ops, Service Now, or similar delivery tools.
  • Experience leading project recovery, vendor transition, SI replacement, or post-go-live stabilization efforts.
  • PMP, SAP Activate, Prosci, Agile, or similar certification is helpful but not required.
