Junior Data Engineer

Overview

We're looking for a Junior Data Engineer to join a growing technology team focused on building and supporting modern data solutions. This role offers hands-on experience across the full data lifecycle, including data ingestion, transformation, automation, and reporting support. You ll work closely with engineers, analysts, and business stakeholders to help deliver scalable data solutions in a collaborative and fast-paced environment.

• Build and maintain data pipelines from a variety of source systems
• Support data transformation and integration processes
• Write and maintain Python and SQL code for automation and data workflows
• Troubleshoot and optimize existing data processes
• Participate in code reviews, testing, and deployment activities
• Assist with documentation and process improvements
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support business reporting and analytics needs

• Experience with Python and SQL
• Understanding of data engineering or ETL concepts
• Familiarity with cloud-based technologies and data platforms
• Experience working with relational databases and APIs
• Knowledge of version control tools such as Git
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Ability to communicate effectively in a team environment

• Exposure to data warehousing concepts
• Familiarity with CI/CD or Dev Ops practices
• Experience with reporting, analytics, or business intelligence environments
• Academic or personal projects involving automation, analytics, or AI tools

Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Information Systems, or a related field preferred. Equivalent practical experience will also be considered.
