IT Support Specialist

Atlanta, GA (Onsite - 5 days/week)

6-Month Contract-to-Hire

About the Role

looking for a Senior IT Support Specialist to act as the go-to IT expert for their Atlanta office. This is a Tier 2-3 support role where you'll handle complex technical issues, support leadership teams, and help drive IT operations forward.

This is a high-impact, visible role with the opportunity to grow into an IT Manager position within 2-3 years.

What You'll Be Doing Advanced Technical Support

+ Provide Tier 2-3 troubleshooting for hardware, software, and network issues

+ Support executives and end users, including C-level interaction

+ Diagnose and resolve complex technical problems

+ Escalate issues to vendors or higher-level support when needed

IT Operations & Infrastructure

+ Maintain and monitor systems, devices, and IT infrastructure

+ Troubleshoot network issues (including rack & stack, cabling, outages)

+ Manage hardware, software, and asset inventory

+ Support Active Directory, O365, and desktop environments

User Support & Administration

+ Set up new users, permissions, and access

+ Handle IT service requests through a ticketing system

+ Provide guidance and training to users on systems and tools

Team Leadership & Growth

+ Act as an IT liaison and point of contact for the office

+ Help mentor junior staff and support team development

+ Partner with IT leadership on processes and improvements

+ Assist in managing IT operations and performance

Additional Responsibilities

+ Support AV setups and conferencing tools when needed

+ Maintain documentation and improve service processes

+ Provide after-hours support as needed

+ Travel to other locations (10-15% travel)

Skills:

+ 5+ years of IT support experience (Tier 2/3 preferred)

+ Strong troubleshooting across:

+ Windows OS

+ Microsoft Office / O365

+ Hardware and desktop systems

+ Basic networking

+ Excellent communication and customer service skills

+ Ability to support executives and Senior stakeholders

Technical Strengths:

Preferred Qualifications

+ Associate's degree or technical training in IT (or equivalent experience)

+ Certifications such as:

+ Experience in a corporate office environment

Work Environment

+ Onsite in Atlanta, GA (5 days/week)

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Atlanta, GA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $35.00 - $40.00/hr.
