Alloy is seeking an experienced SEO & AI Search Strategist Contractor to support a portfolio of active SEO and AI-search client initiatives across B2B, SaaS, nonprofit, and enterprise accounts. This role is focused on maintaining momentum across technical SEO initiatives, AI-search visibility optimization, reporting, and strategic execution support across a growing client portfolio.
This position will work closely with internal SEO, content, analytics, development, and client partnership teams to support ongoing strategy execution and recommendation development. While this role is not expected to directly lead client calls, the ideal candidate must be able to communicate findings, recommendations, and strategic rationale clearly and concisely so client-facing teams are equipped to confidently present and execute against SEO and AI-search initiatives.
The ideal candidate is comfortable jumping into active client engagements (mid-stream), navigating ambiguity, and independently driving technical SEO and AI-search initiatives forward with minimal ramp-up time. Experience working within agency environments and balancing multiple clients simultaneously is strongly preferred.
This contractor role is expected to support approximately 20–25 hours per week during the coverage period.
Primary Responsibilities Technical SEO & Search Visibility Support- Support ongoing technical SEO initiatives across active client accounts, including technical audits, crawl analysis, metadata optimization, internal linking recommendations, redirect validation, and indexation monitoring.
- Assist with post-launch SEO stabilization efforts for website redesigns and migrations, including monitoring rankings, crawlability, canonicals, redirects, structured data, and traffic fluctuations.
- Review, prioritize, and implement technical SEO remediation opportunities in collaboration with development and analytics teams.
- Conduct recurring SEO health checks and technical audit refreshes as needed.
- Support AI-search visibility initiatives focused on generative search experiences, entity-driven discovery, answer engines, and evolving zero‑click environments.
- Help optimize content structure for AI extractability through recommendations around the latest AI-search best practices.
- Monitor AI-generated search visibility trends, competitor positioning, and citation opportunities across search experiences.
- Assist with monthly and quarterly reporting reviews focused on organic visibility, AI visibility trends, engagement quality, and conversion behavior.
- Analyze Search Console, GA4, and SEO platform data to identify actionable optimization opportunities.
- Translate findings into concise recommendations and prioritized action items.
- Partner closely with SEO, analytics, development, content, and client partnership teams to support execution and maintain momentum across active client accounts.
- Clearly communicate technical findings, optimization opportunities, strategic recommendations, and implementation priorities to internal stakeholders.
- Support client-facing teams by preparing organized recommendations, contextual insights, and strategic rationale that can be translated into client conversations and presentations.
- Help review deliverables and recommendations prior to client delivery.
- Communicate proactively around blockers, prioritization needs, and implementation dependencies.

4–8 years of hands‑on SEO experience, preferably within an agency environment. - Analytical

Strong analytical skills and the ability to derive actionable insights from campaign data using tools like Google Analytics and Looker Studio. - SEO Tools:
