Position Overview
TK Elevator is currently seeking an experienced Sr. Analyst- BI Data in Atlanta, GA. The Power BI Senior Analyst, FP&A will play a key role in the BI transformation inside the finance organization, being responsible for supporting leadership decision‑making needs by creating, maintaining and supporting insightful Power BI reports and dashboards.
You will need an analytical mindset, expertise in project & stakeholder management and in the full BI lifecycle: requirements gathering, data modeling, data wrangling, reporting, and data visualization.
This role is based in Atlanta and will provide support for our North American Sales, Field Operations, and Manufacturing organizations, in addition to working closely with team members from our NA Finance organization.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS- Support the transition from Excel‑based reporting to Power BI by enhancing existing reports and developing new dashboards from the ground up.
- Deliver a business partner mindset with strong analytical focus, proactively building knowledge of business processes, domain, and data to support internal customer needs.
- Provide timely, accurate and in‑depth insight to support business operations.
- Enhance Power BI dashboards (data model and design) to identify exceptions and drive actionable insights.
- Create ad‑hoc reports and new Power BI dashboards based on business demand by connecting underlying data sets from multiple data sources to end‑product dashboards.
- Rigorously test Power BI solutions for functionality, data accuracy, consistency and integrity across reports.
- Troubleshoot and provide support to end‑users, empowering them to better consume Power BI reports.
- Develop training materials and guides to enhance customer experience and optimize Power BI usage/adoption.
- Partner with the AI, Data & Analytics (AIDA) team in IT to optimize data warehouse/lake structures; enabling Power BI dashboards and helping to prioritise data enablement steps. This requires working knowledge of data architecture, Azure storage, SQL Server, Databricks, and Power BI connection options.
- Drive continuous improvement and standardisation efforts within the organisation.
- Offer proactive, hands‑on leadership on multiple assigned projects, adapting as needed, overseeing progress and coordinating resources efficiently.
- Acquire and maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of IT systems, reports and business processes within the organisation.
- All other duties as assigned.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Finance, Statistics, Computer Science, Mathematics, Computer Information Systems or a related field.
- Experience as an analyst supporting business functions with domain‑specific insights (pattern recognition, ability to convert data into insights, storytelling).
- Experience in the vertical transportation industry.
- 5+ years of progressive experience in data modelling, data analysis and reporting.
- 3+ years of experience with Power BI.
- Proven experience with Power BI Desktop, including acquiring and cleaning data (Power Query), creating the data model (table connections & relationships), and creating meaningful visualizations, reports and dashboards to support the business.
- Working knowledge of data mining principles: predictive analytics, mapping, collecting data from multiple data systems on premises and cloud‑based data sources.
- Strong SQL skills, ability to perform effective querying involving multiple tables and subqueries.
- Knowledge of programming languages relevant to BI and analytics (DAX, SQL, Python, etc.).
- Data modelling experience (Star Schema).
- Ability with Power BI Service, managing work spaces and accesses, establishing row‑level security (RLS), publishing and updating apps.
- Advanced Excel skill set, along with strong data mining expertise from multiple databases.
- Databricks experience welcomed.
