DevSecOps Engineer

Akkodis is seeking an Dev Sec Ops  Engineer for a Contract to hire with a client in Sandy Springs, GA (Hybrid). The ideal candidate will Design, secure, and operate scalable AWS infrastructure by embedding security into cloud, Kubernetes, and CI/CD platforms.

Rate Range: $75/hour to $80/hour;
The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.

Dev Sec Ops  Engineer Job Responsibilities include:

• Design, build, and secure AWS cloud infrastructure using AWS CDK, ensuring scalable and compliant environments.
• Manage and harden Kubernetes (EKS) and containerized workloads, including networking, identity, and image security.
• Build and secure CI/CD pipelines with Git Hub Actions, integrating vulnerability scanning, SAST/DAST, and secrets detection.
• Implement least-privilege IAM, cloud networking, encryption, and zero-trust security controls across AWS services.
• Monitor and investigate incidents using Datadog, lead incident response and post-mortems, and drive remediation.
• Support compliance initiatives (SOC 2, PCI-DSS) through evidence collection, audits, security documentation, and automation.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related technical field.
• 5+ years of experience in Dev Sec Ops , cloud infrastructure, security engineering, or platform engineering roles.
• Strong hands-on expertise with AWS (production scale) and AWS CDK, including IAM, networking, EKS, and core security services.
• Proven experience securing CI/CD pipelines (Git Hub Actions), integrating security tools (Trivy, SAST/DAST), and supporting compliance frameworks such as SOC 2 and PCI-DSS.

Pay Details: $75.00 to $80.00 per hour
