The Senior Platform Engineer will play a key role in designing and managing scalable cloud infrastructure, driving Infrastructure as Code (IaC) initiatives, and building robust CI/CD pipelines that accelerate software delivery while maintaining operational excellence.
Responsibilities- Design, build, and maintain scalable, highly available, and secure platform infrastructure across cloud environments.
- Drive Infrastructure as Code (IaC) best practices using tools such as Terraform, Cloud Formation, and Ansible.
- Own and optimize cloud infrastructure across AWS, Azure, and/or GCP, focusing on performance, reliability, scalability, and cost efficiency.
- Build, maintain, and enhance CI/CD pipelines to support fast, safe, and automated application deployments.
- Implement monitoring, logging, alerting, and observability solutions to ensure platform health and operational visibility.
- Collaborate closely with software engineering, security, and Dev Ops teams to improve developer productivity and platform capabilities.
- Automate infrastructure provisioning, configuration management, and operational processes.
- Ensure platform security, compliance, and governance standards are incorporated into infrastructure and deployment workflows.
- Troubleshoot complex infrastructure, networking, and deployment issues across production and non-production environments.
- Evaluate and recommend emerging cloud technologies, tools, and best practices to improve platform operations.
- 5+ years of experience in Platform Engineering, Dev Ops, Site Reliability Engineering (SRE), Cloud Engineering, or related disciplines.
- Strong experience designing and supporting cloud infrastructure in AWS, Azure, and/or Google Cloud Platform.
- Hands‑on experience with Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform, Cloud Formation, or Ansible.
- Experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Git Hub Actions, Git Lab CI/CD, Jenkins, Azure Dev Ops, or similar.
- Strong understanding of cloud networking, security, identity management, and infrastructure architecture.
- Experience with containerization and orchestration technologies, including Docker and Kubernetes.
- Proficiency with scripting and automation using Python, Bash, Power Shell, or similar languages.
- Experience implementing monitoring and observability solutions such as Datadog, Prometheus, Grafana, Cloud Watch, or similar.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem‑solving skills in complex distributed systems environments.
- Experience supporting multi‑cloud or hybrid cloud environments.
- Knowledge of platform engineering best practices and developer self‑service tooling.
- Experience with service mesh, API gateways, and cloud‑native architectures.
- Familiarity with security and compliance frameworks.
- Relevant cloud certifications (AWS, Azure, or GCP) are a plus.
