Position Overview
The Multimedia Communications Specialist, Intermediate serves under the IIT Director of Communications, collaborating with subject matter experts, technology administrators, and communications team members to create technical documentation, knowledgebase articles, web pages, graphics, data visualizations, video learning materials, and other multimedia content that aligns with university standards. The role requires translating technical processes into accessible language, troubleshooting documentation issues, and extending the reach of existing resources.
Note:
this position requires on‑site work; remote or hybrid work options are not available.
- Develop and organize technology support knowledgebase content in the online service desk tool and across digital and physical systems.
- Design and produce professional‑quality written and multimedia materials meeting project stakeholder specifications.
- Create and integrate text, video, audio, graphics, data visualizations, and interactive multimedia to support technology solutions.
- Work individually and collaboratively to meet project deadlines, prioritize tasks, and communicate project progress and issues.
- Attend and support campus outreach events to promote departmental services and solutions to students, faculty, and staff.
- Research emerging technology trends in related areas to maintain high industry standards.
- Bachelor’s degree and two years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Experience with webpage and/or knowledgebase tools.
Atlanta Campus – 8:30 a.m. – 5:15 p.m. (Full‑time, Exempt)
Compensation$73,400 – $91,700 per year.
