Platform Engineer

As a Staff Platform Engineer, you'll play a pivotal role in shaping the foundation of a rapidly growing platform that processes massive volumes of data while maintaining stringent reliability, security, and compliance standards. The work is highly visible, the technical ownership is substantial, and your contributions will directly shape how engineering teams deliver and operate software at scale.

• Proven experience architecting and operating production AWS environments, including multi-region deployments, resiliency planning, failover strategies, and disaster recovery considerations.
• Strong expertise with Infrastructure as Code using Terraform and/or AWS CDK, coupled with ownership of cloud infrastructure automation and CI/CD platforms.
• Hands-on experience supporting large-scale event-driven architectures, distributed systems, and high-throughput workloads with a deep understanding of reliability, replay mechanisms, idempotency, back pressure, and operational scalability.

• Experience designing or supporting modern data platforms, lakehouse architectures, or open table formats.
• Operational knowledge of analytical, columnar, or OLAP database technologies in production environments.
• Advanced experience with observability, monitoring, alerting, operational readiness, and infrastructure-focused incident response practices.
