Description

This role involves managing contract manufacturers and their daily operations and systems. The focus will be on overseeing logistics, material flow, delivery timelines, and capacity requirements. It also includes managing new product introduction activities and reverse logistics. The position will also track key performance indicators and objectives in relation to the manufacturing footprint.

Required Qualifications and Skills

A Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, or equivalent practical experience is required. Candidates need 8 years of experience in PCBA/MOBO L6, L10 integration, or L11 Rack integration within engineering or manufacturing. Additionally, 7 years of experience with operations in general assembly and automation technologies is necessary. A minimum of 5 years of experience as a technical program manager or in program management is also a requirement.

Preferred qualifications include 8 years of experience managing cross-functional or cross-team projects.

At gTech's Users and Products team, innovations are focused on enhancing user engagement and solving complex customer needs through technical expertise and a deep understanding of Google's and Alphabet's broad product environments. The team acts as a bridge between Google’s users and its product teams, ensuring that user insights are integrated into product offerings which support numerous annual product launches. The newly formed Machine Learning Data Operations (MLDO) team within gUP Operations plays a critical role in delivering and tuning machine learning and GenAI data operations across Google’s product suite, leveraging extensive global vendor networks.

Google's overarching goal is to create impactful products and services, with gTech playing a strategic role in bringing these solutions to fruition through technological and operational expertise.
