Business Analyst Risk and Compliance
Contract opportunity with a financial services client.
Responsibilities- Support Risk, Compliance, Audit, and Legal integration initiatives within the Integration Merger Office (IMO) for large‑scale banking merger and conversion programs.
- Partner with Project Managers, Risk, Compliance, Legal, Audit, Operations, and Technology teams to support integration work streams activities.
- Create and maintain business requirement documents (BRDs), functional specifications, process flows, data mapping documents, operational procedures, and integration documentation.
- Analyze current‑state and future‑state to identify operational impacts, process gaps, control requirements, and integration dependencies.
- Support operational readiness, testing coordination, and validation activities for risk and compliance‑related initiatives.
- Assist with audit readiness, regulatory documentation, issue remediation tracking, and compliant reporting activities.
- Coordinate with IMO leadership to ensure requirements and deliverables align with compliance and regulatory expectations.
- Ensure documentation and business processes align with banking regulatory requirements, technology specification, enterprise standards, audit expectations, and risk management frameworks.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, Information Technology, Risk Management, Legal Studies, or a related field preferred.
- 5+ years of Business Analyst experience within banking or financial services environments.
- Prior experience supporting banking merger integrations, enterprise conversions, or large‑scale transformation initiatives preferred.
- Strong functional Business Analyst experience with the ability to document complex business processes, operational workflows, technical requirements, and controls.
- Proficiency with Jira, Confluence, Microsoft Office Suite, Excel, SharePoint, or similar documentation and workflow tools.
- Preferred locations:
Atlanta, Columbus, Nashville, Charlotte. Will consider other locations with the ability to be onsite periodically.
