Job Title: Snowflake Cloud Data Platform DBA

Duration: 12 months (Possible Conversion)

Location: Jersey City, NJ (Hybrid)

Domain: Investment Banking company

Primary Responsibilities:

• Design and Architect database solution on Snowflake data cloud platform, AWS, Azure and Databricks.
• Manage and optimize the performance, security, and reliability of databases in the Snowflake Data Cloud platform.
• Planning and managing disaster recovery strategies and data retention policies.
• Deploying, right-sizing, and managing Snowflake virtual warehouses.
• Implement and manage security measures like data encryption, access controls, and network policies.
• Automate standard Database processes using Unix Shell scripting/Python.
• Develop new automation scripts in python and write unit cases.
• Enhance/troubleshoot existing Unix shell scripts.

Must Haves:

• 7+ years of experience as a Snowflake Architect/DBA.
• Experience working as a DBA or Data Architect within Snowflake Data platform
• Managing entire platform, security, reliability, performance, disaster recovery, data retention, data masking (everything you have to do to manage a platform as an admin)
• Unix, Shell & Python Programming (A lot of Automation around the standard processes)
• In-depth understanding of Data Warehouse/ODS, ETL concept and modelling structure principles
• How a data warehouse works, what are the different analytical processes that run + batch processes
• Experience as an SAP IQ DBA.
